Tuning Pack for SAP Solution Manager
SAP Solution Manager is the central application manager in SAP NetWeaver landscapes and is therefore directly involved in the execution of a large number of different SAP processes. Its main tasks include documentation, helpdesk functionalities, and change and transport system management. Consequently, efficient monitoring is of utmost importance. High levels of automation in administration ensure the efficiency of SAP operation.

The "Tuning Pack for SAP Solution Manager" is a useful enhancement to the default monitoring functionality of SAP Solution Manager. Automatic filtering mechanisms were built in in addition to the automatic routine checks to ensure that SAP Basis administrators are only notified of business-critical events. Moreover, the automatic message formatting feature helps achieve greater information density, which in turn allows administrators to isolate arising problems at once. This makes labor-intensive and time-consuming manual system checks a thing of the past.

theGuard! TransportManager
theGuard! TransportManager has proven its effectiveness in more than 150 project throughout the world. In addition to the standard SAP transport management processes, it also addressed a large number of individual customer requirements with custom solutions. These include the integration with existing change and release management solutions across the SAP landscape as well as the continuation and improvement of the SAP Customizing synchronization. Another recent trend is the integration of TransportManager with the Change Request Management (ChaRM)ons across the SAP landscape as well as the continuation and improvement of the SAP Customizing synchronization. Another recent trend is the integration of TransportManager with the Change Request Management (ChaRM) of SAP Solution Manager. This allows for the elimination of the many disadvantages of a mere SAP Solution Manager/TMS solution.

Over the past years, more and more SAP customers have been using an additional development and integration testing system to prepare new projects and software releases or to test a new SAP version. In all of these scenarios, these SAP users also have to continue to maintain their current production system by means of the typical three-system landscape. All changes that are being made as part of their maintenance efforts also need to be integrated into these two new systems. This is a very tedious and time-consuming process that can be automated with theGuard! theGuard! InterfaceManager
The continuous development of theGuard! InterfaceManager and the large number of customer projects today allow us to address common requirements expressed by our customers in ready-made solutions.

We were, for example, able to develop a pre-configured solution for automatically keeping time in SAP CATS fromtheGuard! ServiceDesk. Using the interface allows users to schedule when the consolidated data that was enriched for SAP is posted to their SAP CATS time sheets theGuard! InterfaceManager will monitor the posting process in SAP. InterfaceManager überwacht. Any errors are immediately reported and then forwarded to ServiceDesk. Supporters are relieved of the recurring and time-consuming task of having to manually record time in the SAP system. This eliminates the errors associated with manual timekeeping. The reporting features of ServiceDesk give users immediate access to the most recent data that is also posted in the SAP system. The times recorded are directly linked to the corresponding ticket. Accounting departments no longer have to manually review their invoices. The invoicing process is standardized. What's more, the time recorded in ServiceDesk can also be used to record work time in the SAP system.

Other solutions include the integration of tool dispensers with the SAP ERP backend system as an external storage location. Other examples are the transfer of new customer data from a project management system to SAP or the posting of relevant invoices for an ongoing project.
