The latest release of theGuard! System Management Center is designed to simplify Business Service Management

 

REALTECH's IT management solution theGuard! 7.0 delivers a host of new features to boost the efficiency of IT employees working in operation and support

 

REALTECH launches theGuard! Service Management Center 7.0, a completely redesigned version of its successful IT management solution.

Its newly created user interface speeds up the error detection and recovery process in very large IT system landscapes with large volumes of data. At the same time, REALTECH introduced pre-defined monitoring and process rules (rule templates) for the monitoring of complex applications across multiple servers. This allows the IT staff to set up the monitoring of newly installed servers and applications in no time. Another new feature is the ability to monitor virtual landscapes and Microsoft Exchange 2010. The entire solution is based on REALTECH's theGuard! CMDB, which gives employees access to all IT landscape data from a single point of control.

theGuard! goes mobile...

REALTECH's theGuard! ImpactMonitor mobile app is the first in a series of applications to be released as part of REALTECH's theGuard! suite of products.

The software, which is initially available for iPad and Phone, delivers detailed real-time updates on the status of mission-critical IT infrastructures straight to the mobile devices of IT administrators, providing them with information on the status of their IT systems whenever they need it. 

Different zoom and filter options facilitate the search for the root cause of problems and help determine the impact of interruptions on your company's business processes. Users can choose to receive their alerts either in push or pull mode. Furthermore, they can flexibly configure the display of these results based on user-specified criteria.

Remedy Change Management Integration in theGuard! TransportManager

 

For some time, the central topic in Change Management is: integration into the SAP world. For this reason, more and more of our customers ask for integration of change management solutions into theGuard! TransportManager.

 

Different computer languages, different systems and different interpretable standards in communication emerged as challenge. This requirement evolves to a compulsory task at our new theGuard! TransportManager customer Sime Darby.

During this project, we succeeded in connecting the change management solution Remedy (by world market leader BMC) to theGuard! TransportManager, for the first time.

From now on, a change- or incident number of BMC's Remedy is assigned to each transport request in theGuard! TransportManager.
Changes or incidents in Remedy run through different statuses e.g. New Request, Waiting for Approval, Commissioning, Quality Assurance etc. during their life cycle.

 

Each of these different Remedy statuses are now transmitted automatically to a transport request in theGuard! TransportManager. Different statuses of a change request can be displayed or can be a condition for a certain status change within the Worklfow Monitor.
This guarantees a seamless traceability of changes, which are recorded and approved in Remedy.
