Details
IM/3 supports the development of interface programs for all important R/3 loading methods: BATCH INPUT, CALL TRANSACTION, direct loads and ALE-based loading methods. Conversion rules are used together with other definitions for the automatic generation of the interface program code (ABAP/4) and individual extensions can be added to the structured program code in ABAP/4.
Using the Interface Monitor or the IM/3 Interface Controller, the interface programs can be started manually, event-controlled or automatically. An automatic recovery option allows automatic restart if the programs were aborted. The IM/3 Interface Monitor demonstrates the current status of each interface by means of color codes. Faults which arise in the course of processing can be reported in real time per e-mail or SMS, and intelligent problem management additionally ensures that sources of error are eliminated rapidly.
Data exchange can be based on files. Message queuing systems such as IBM MQSeries are also supported. Through IM/3Xchange, REALTECH also offers its own middleware. The TCP/IP-based connection allows synchronization of datasets from heterogeneous systems. Connectors already exist for the connection of over 100 partner systems, e.g. database systems, such as Oracle and SQL Server, or even complete solutions from Baan, Peoplesoft and Siebel. IM/3Xchange also provides you with an XML connection. Direct access to partner systems accelerates the creation of interface definitions and ensures the alignment of definitions on source and target systems. The central control and monitoring capability helps you focus your IT platform on your R/3 systems.
System Requirements IM/3 is independend from operating systems, netzwork and Database management systems. These Ressources are provided by the running SAP R/3 system. IM/3 is released for SAP R/3 Release 4.0B or higher. For the installation of IM/3 about 50 MB additional diskspace are required. There are no further System Requirements.
