theGuard! NetworkManager can be implemented in a number of different performance variants based on network size and number of users (administrators). All of the applications necessary to ensure basic functioning are delivered together as one package, the base system.
Differentiation is hereby made between the two single-user variants:
- theGuard! NetworkManager Classic
- theGuard! NetworkManager Advanced
and the two client-ready multi-user variants:
- theGuard! NetworkManager Terminal Server Edition
- theGuard! NetworkManager Multi Site Edition
The Classic Version is limited in terms of the number of nodes to be managed (maximum of 300) as well as in its functionality. A node corresponds to one database entry for a device; a router, for example, which would count as a single node even if it has several addresses. The Classic Version is suited for use in smaller network environments.
The Advanced Version has full functionality and is suited for monitoring medium-sized network and system environments without multi-station functionality. The Advanced Version is available in variants for a maximum of 500 or 5000 nodes.
The Terminal Server Edition is best employed when several administrators work with a system and functions are accessed through administrator workstations (clients). Limited to 5000 nodes, the Terminal Server Edition is client-ready.
The Multi Site Edition possesses the full functional range of the Terminal Server Edition plus is capable of managing remote locations within one centralized database. Additional Terminal Server client licenses must be acquired for the Terminal Server Edition and Multi Site Edition based upon the total number of user workstations (concurrent user model).
Further modules can be integrated as desired and to any extent, there is absolutely no limit to the spectrum of applications. For more information on this, please refer to our current price list and/or the relevant system specifications.
