End-to-End Monitoring with the GUI Bot

 

In addition to monitoring the infrastructure components using the system and network management, you can take advantage of the GUI Bot to look at any application from a user's perspective. Reference transactions are used to collect data on the availability and utilization of the applications. These reference transactions are carried out periodically by user PCs, thereby representing a "true user's perspective". The availability check comprises two elements: it checks the technical availability and searches the transaction for specific contents.

The GUI Bot as your end-to-end monitoring solution

The GUI Bot has two components: a transaction recorder and the actual bot. The transaction recorder allows you to record and regularly replay the transactions of any application. In order to reflect a true user's perspective, the transactions are recorded at random times and equipped with measuring points. The transactions are regularly replayed by the GUI Bot and monitored with respect to their success and duration. Basically, this gives you status information (success yes/no) and performance data such as response times of the individual transaction steps.

Business Process Management describes the synthesis of different components that, when combined, allow for more effective process and data control throughout the company. With theGuard! Process Management you will be able to graphically represent important business processes. The status and performance indicators of the monitored network, system, and software application components are analyzed and visualized by means of rule-based status correlation. The data obtained from the end-to-end monitoring can now be combined and correlated with the network, system, and application management data.
