Cryovac were aware that their national Database Network was failing to perform according to initial expectations. It was agreed that a System Audit was required to establish the current performance as well as to identify the necessary solutions required to ensure total manageability of the overall network.
REALTECH's system audit identified more suitable platforms that Cryovac could utilise to ensure total compatibility, and as such, embarked on a migration from Informix to an Oracle Operating System which was considered to be more suitable for the existing HP Platform.
With a 'Go-Live' date set to coincide with its international offices, the system was overhauled and implemented according to schedule. Cryovac received a massive database size reduction that was directly attributable to the system migration as well as 30% net increase in systems performance.
