Malvern, PA, June 9, 2009 – REALTECH, Inc., the North American affiliate of REALTECH AG, today announced its selection by Tarrant County (Texas) to provide SAP Basis Support and Run SAP Implementation Services under a $1 million contract. The agreement is a one-year commitment with two consecutive one-year renewal options.
Tarrant County is one of the fastest-growing urban counties in the United States. It has more than 4,200 employees in 80 departments at 37 locations, who serve some 1.7 million people. Under the contract, REALTECH will provide the County with daily SAP operations support and will be implementing the Run SAP methodology, which is an
integral part of SAP Enterprise Support Services. The Run SAP methodology provides best-practice procedures, content, services, training and tools for end-to-end operations.
“In keeping with the County’s tradition of recognizing and implementing SAP’s best practices, the RUN SAP methodologies have enabled us to move towards a more holistic approach in our day-to-day operations. By implementing Solution Manager Diagnostics and Wily Introscope, we now have dozens of metrics available to us for immediate realtime
analysis. This has resulted in an estimated 80% decrease in the amount of time required for analysis and identification of Java, J2EE and portal issues,” says Steve Smith, Tarrant County’s Chief Information Officer.
The County’s award follows other recent local government wins in Texas for REALTECH. Earlier this year, the City of Houston awarded the company a three-year $2.5 million contract to provide SAP Basis Support and 24-hour, seven-day-per-week System Monitoring Services.
Tarrant County is a repeat customer for REALTECH. Six years ago, the County awarded REALTECH a contract to support implementation of SAP R/3 and SAP BW and the upgrade to SAP ECC 6.0. REALTECH was also selected to upgrade the County’s ITS based Employee Self Service (ESS) scenario with a SAP ECC 6.0 compliant ESS scenario based on SAP Enterprise Portal technology.
According to Steve Smith, Tarrant County’s Chief Information Officer, REALTECH earned the SAP support and service award based on the County’s satisfaction with the company’s past performance. “REALTECH has been an outstanding partner for our SAP Basis team these past six years, and we’re looking forward to continuing our relationship as we optimize our SAP technology,” noted Smith.
