The ITANet usergroup is an association of all subscribers of IT-Administrator magazine. More than 3,000 IT experts from the fields of system and network management support readers with their expertise.

This year, REALTECH is an exclusive sponsor of this network. Through this, REALTECH not only stands out as a provider of one of the leading system and network management solutions, but also as a driver of knowledge transfer in the fields of software development and Business Process Management. Throughout the year, REALTECH will accompany all participants of the ITANet network in the form of workshops, conferences, or professional articles, always keeping them up-to-date on the latest IT trends.

SAP and REALTECH focus on "Compliant Identity Management"

The reasons behind the introduction of a SAP-supported Identity Management or GRC solution are the requirements of internal and external compliance guidelines (e.g. BilMoG, REACH, SOX…). In order to ensure the transparency of operational procedures, companies have to establish responsible corporate accountability.

SAP BusinessObjects Access Control and SAP NetWeaver Identity Management are solutions that give companies the opportunity to act proactively and to incorporate automated control mechanisms.

Mature SAP Compliant Identity Management helps them reduce their administrative overhead and costs over the long-term.

This also encompasses reduced workloads for IT departments and the transfer of responsibilities to the individual business departments and data owners.
In order to provide you with additional helpful information on automated procedures, controls, processes, and proactive risk minimization, REALTECH is planning a customer information day for this year.

SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) at the SAP Partner Information Day

In March, REALTECH was once again given the opportunity to attend a SAP Partner Information Day. Our Human Capital Management consultants who participated in the event were able to gather many impressions: this included the fact that the public sector is the industry that generates the highest revenue from SAP HCM licenses. Furthermore, SAP highlighted those HCM issues that are considered to have the greatest potential. In conclusion, SAP presented figures from the last SAP HCM congress in Mannheim, Germany, which produced 350 qualified leads and 404 contacts.

The core HCM issues targeted by REALTECH were also identified by SAP as the biggest crowd-pullers in the field of HCM. This includes electronic personnel records, Employee Self-Service scenarios, travel management, document management with Adobe (Interactive Forms) as well as human resources reporting with SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence. This year, customers will mainly invest in these issues, as they yield the greatest potential for optimization for the business department.

Moreover, REALTECH was able to gather partner-related information, e.g. on partner integration opportunities when it comes to testing, collaborative business integration and ramp-up projects, as well as information on partner enablement. The training of partners was another key issue, just like the use of playbooks and many more aspects.

REALTECH was given an overview of the changes included in the latest SAP HCM Enhancement Packages (EHP6) - particularly with respect to personnel cost planning, statements, and HR Shared Services. SAP also presented the integration of Lotus Notes - the so-called Alloy project, as well as new 2009 regulations in the field of human resources. Last but not least, Rene Schumann, SAP's Product & Partner Manager, provided attendees with detailed and comprehensible information on SAP's Business Suite 7.0.

To summarize, it was a most interesting and insightful day. Any SAP partner can only benefit from this event.
