Walldorf, October 25, 2001. REALTECH AG increased its sales by 27% to EUR 14.5 million in the 3rd quarter of 2001 (3rd quarter of 2000: EUR11.4 million), thus attaining the highest quarterly sales ever in the history of the company. In Technology Consulting, sales rose by 26% to EUR 12.6 million (EUR 10.0 mil-lion). Software sales increased by 23% to EUR 1.7 million (EUR 1.4 million). Host-ing services generated EUR 0.2 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization totaled TEUR 2,007 (TEUR 971), while the operating result (EBIT) amounted to TEUR 1,089 (TEUR 179). General management costs were reduced yoy by 14% as an absolute figure, and from 29% to 19% in relation to sales. Earnings rose to TEUR 604 (TEUR -125), producing earnings per share of EUR 0.12 (EUR – 0.02).
First 9 months of 2001: Sales increased by 29% to EUR 41.0 million (first 9 months of 2000: EUR 31.7 million). This increase was generated solely from organic growth. The operating result before depreciation (EBITDA) totaled TEUR 3,739 (TEUR 3,670), while the operating result (EBIT) amounted to TEUR 1,132 (TEUR 1,425). The previous year’s figures include the income from the sale of the participation in IT-GO! GmbH of TEUR 1,292. Excluding this special effect for 2000, EBITDA for last year is reduced to 2,378 TEUR and EBIT to TEUR – 1,113. General management costs fell from 31% of sales last year to 24% this year. Earnings totaled TEUR 315 (TEUR -217), generating earnings per share of EUR 0.06 (EUR –0.04). Cash flow from operating activities of TEUR 738 was generated in the first 9 months of 2001, compared with TEUR 94 for the same period of the previous year.
